The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North local government council, Hon. Innocent Esewezie has been conferred with a meritorious Award of Excellence in recognition of his developmental exploits.
The award came courtesy of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria and personally presented to the Council Chairman by the Obuzor of Ibusa, His Royal Majesty, Obi Prof. Louis Chelunor Nwoboshi on behalf of the National President of the group, Chief Emma Ajufo at his Palace Thursday.
The group said that they were not in the habit of dishing out awards but pointed out that Hon Esewezie was the first they were honouring out of all the local government council chairmen throughout the country.
Hon. Esewezie was described by the Board of Trustees Chairman as a go-getter, “operating at an exceptional level”.
Receiving the Award, Hon. Esewezie said it was the best award he has received so far. He appreciated God for the honour bestowed upon him and thanked the leadership and members of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria for celebrating him.
The Council boss said that with the assemblage of capable team and with the help of God “we are delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Oshimili North”.
Esewezie who doubles as the Ugo-Nwa Igbuzor and Ezi-Nwajiani 1 of Oshimili North Local Government, an honour recently bestowed on him by the 7 kings of the LGA in recognition of his many developmental milestones thanked the Obuzor of Ibusa for his fatherly role over the years.
