Kidnappers abduct 9 passengers on Benin-Sapele highway

 

NO fewer than nine passengers travelling in a commercial bus along the Jesse-Oben Road in Delta State have been kidnapped.

 

The Town Hall Media gathered that the incident took place before Oben, a border town between Edo and Delta States.

 

Eye witness told our reporter that the driver and conductor of the bus travelling from Sapele to Asaba escaped while the dare-devil abductors took kidnapped passengers into forest.

 

According to the witness “there were gunshots fired into the air to scare passersby”.

 

It was also gathered that one of the kidnapped victims is a daughter of a newspaper vendor based in Sapele.

 

The kidnappers according to a reliable source have demanded a ransom of N10 million from the father of the newspaper vendor (names withheld).
