POLITICAL leaders drawn from Aniocha North local government area of Delta State have eulogized two prominent indigenes from the local government, the Senator representing Delta North senatorial district, Prince Ned Nwoko and the Majority Leader, Delta State House of Assembly Hon. Emeka Nwaobi for their respective record-breaking achievements.
Rising from an meeting at Issele-Uku, the political leaders said Aniocha North people were extremely proud of Senator Nwoko representing Delta North at the National Assembly and Hon. Nwaobi, representing Aniocha North constituency at the State House of Assembly for showing capacity and impact.
They described Senator Nwoko as one of the strongest voices in the Nigerian Senate and hailed Hon. Nwaobi for standing excellently in promoting the yearnings of Aniocha North in State Assembly.
The meeting was attended by the former the Deputy Governor of the State during Governor James Ibori two-term, Chief Benjamin Elue, Chief Nkem Okwuofu (Agunwanyi) and Chief Mrs Josephine Kachikwu.
Others include the State Commissioner for
Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, Aniocha North Local Government PDP Chairman, Dr. Charles Ochei, former Chairmen of the Council, among other leaders.
Highlight of the meeting was the passing of vote of confidence on the duo – Ned Nwoko and Emeka Nwaobi respectively by the Aniocha North leaders.
The motion calling for the vote of confidence was moved by Pioneer Sole Administrator of the Council (Aniocha North), Sir Dan Okenyi, supported by party stalwart, Prince UZ Idabor and was unanimously carried.
The leaders said they were pleased that Senator Nwoko is championing the aspirations of Delta North (Anioma) through outstanding efforts on Ogwashi-Uku Dam project, Okpai Power generating system, multiple manpower development programmes, attraction of N3.5 billion projects to Delta North in the 2024 National Appropriation Law among other key milestones as a Senator.
While on his part, Hon Nwaobi, as State Lawmaker initiated several Constituency projects viz roads, schools, hospitals and empowerment programmes for the people of Aniocha North among others.
Recall that the Delta State governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori during a meeting of Leaders, Elders and Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta North Senatorial District held at Orchid Hotel, Asaba, recently commended Delta North Senatorial District “for always showing good examples, as well as for its significant contributions to the Partyās winning streak.
According to him, the Delta North Senatorial District gave him 100 per cent votes because he won in all the local government areas in the district.
