We demand a thorough investigation into the armed men attack on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan family house, Kogi Central Youths tell IG

A Peace Advocacy Group known as Say No to Violence in Ebiraland (SNTVE) in Kogi Central Senatorial District has called on the Inspector General of Police and other Security agencies to investigate the recent invasion by armed gunmen on the family house of the Senator Representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The group in a press statement signed by its Spokesman, Hon. Abdulrazak O. Mamman unequivocally condemned the incident, saying that “it is not only a threat to the Senator ‘s life and her family but also to the stability and security of our democracy.

The statement reads:

“This brazen act of violence is not only a threat to the Senator ‘s life and her family but also to the stability and security of our democracy. An alarming indication of the growing insecurity in our nation.

“We are calling on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and other Heads of security agencies to launch a thorough investigation into this attack and ensure that those behind this criminal act are brought to book

“While we commend Senator Natasha for her consistent display of bravery and strong will to stand by the truth in the face of the challenges and intimidation she has encountered in the past few weeks, we urge her to remain focused; we assure her that she has the support of the good people of Ebiraland, and the Say No to Violence group is solidly behind her and her family during this difficult time

“We are appealing to the concerned authorities to provide them with the necessary protection and support and we urge all well-meaning Nigerians to join us in condemning this attack and demanding action from the Federal Government and all security agencies to prevent any further attempt on the life of Senator Natasha”, it further stated.
