Update: Ewu monarch on Wanted list flown to Abuja

THE Ovie of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom, Ughelli South local government area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo, Urhukpe 1, who voluntarily surrendered himself Thursday evening has been flown to Abuja.

He was escorted to the Asaba International Airport by both the Commanding Officer, 63 Brigade Nigeria Army Asaba, the Delta State Police Commissioner and other senior military officers.
He boarded Air Peace Airline and the plane departed Asaba airport tarmac at about 9:10 am to Abuja.

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) had declared eight (8) persons wanted in connection to the murder of 17 military personnel in Okuama, Ughelli South local government area of Delta State including him.

Shortly after the news went viral the Ovie surfaced addressed a group of journalists from a hideout, claiming innocence.
He said he was embarrassed and surprised to be included among persons declared wanted by the Defence Headquarters.
