THE runaway Anambra State-based female lawyer, Adachukwu Chikelue-Okafor who allegedly used hot knife and iron to torture her 11- year old maid is presently in the police net.
She was said to have surrendered herself to the Police following intensified search for her coupled with the N2 million bounty placed on her for anyone who could fish her out from hideout.
Fresh fact has shown that the said lawyer is also Pastor in a local church.
Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, confirmed the lawyer’s detention in an interview with newsmen in Awka, Anambra State capital today (Tuesday).
Obinabo said the lawyer surrendered herself to the Police few days after a bounty of N2 million was placed on her by the State government.
She further added that adding that she would be arraigned before the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Magistrate court in Awka before Friday this week.

Meantime, the Anambra First Lady, Mrs Nonye Soludo said she is keeping a close tab on the case and will ensure that the full weight of the law is, accordingly, served to act as a deterrent to those who have no regard for human dignity and rights.
Soludo said “I promise to keep personal track of the proceedings, including updates on court dates, decisions and judgment”, warning that “my commitment to fighting all forms of abuses on women and children in Anambra State will be sustained”.
Recall that the female lawyer had boasted that she was untouchable after committing the act. But when the news went viral she fled.
