THE People’s Democratic Party PDP Oshimili North Local Government Chapter has written an Open Letter to the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori commending him for the recent provision of N2 billion per local government for developmental projects.
They particularly noted that through the funding, the jinx will soon be broken as inhabitants in Okpanam would no longer undergo the tortuous journey of first crossing one or two other local government areas before arriving their local government headquarters Akwukwu-Igbo (Oshimili North).
The letter of Appreciation jointly signed Hon Sir Joe Ijeh, Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Oshimili North Local Government Area and Hon Tony Odih, Secretary, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Oshimili North Local Government particularly highlighted the economic benefits involved with the construction of the Amachai/Akwukwu Igbo link road in Okpanam.

On behalf of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oshimili North Local
Government Area, we warmly extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for your unwavering commitment to the development of Delta State and Oshimili North local Government Area, in particular. Your leadership and vision have significantly transformed our communities, and we are particularly appreciative of your recent provision of N2 billion per local government for developmental projects in each of the 25 local
government areas of Delta State.
We will like to express our special thanks for the ongoing urban road
construction projects in Oshimili North. In particular the Okpanam /
Ibusa link road which has made it possible for people in Ibusa to connect with Okpanam and other communities in Oshimili North Local
government area without passing through Oshimili South local government. Of great delight also is the commencement of the dualization of the ever busy Umejei road, Ibusa. Ibusa community is enthused and agog because this will not only give the community a new and beautiful look but also a free flow of vehicular movement.
The construction of the Amachai/Akwukwu Igbo link road in Okpanam is another strategic one as this road is the artery through which the
economy pulses will flow to Akwukwu and Atuma-Iga communities in our LGA.
Your Excellency, you are not only enhancing the quality of life of our residents but also putting in place critical infrastructures that will boost and escalate economic activities, promote trade, and enhance access to essential services. One other positive impact this project would have in Okpanam community is that it will address the perennial erosion issues
in the Amachai /Ogbeozoma areas while fostering intra-connection
between Okpanam and Akwukwu Igbo without necessitating passage
through another local government area.Such an enhancement would greatly benefit our constituents and further solidify the infrastructural
advancement you are championing across Delta State.
Once again, we thank you for your dedication and service to our great state. The people of Oshimili North are eagerly waiting to receive you as you come to commission these and other projects in ONLGA. We pledge our massive support and assures you that this will translate into massive votes for our great party the PDP.
