There is an unfolding drama following the repainting of Ethiope West PDP secretariat to APC colours as the Ethiope West local government area chapter of PDP, Hon Vincent Abobo has vowed to challenge the action.

Speaking with Rero TV Correspondent who broke the news on Thursday afternoon, Abobo said “It is a bad thing that they are doing because the facility is a government owned property.
It belongs to the Ministry of Sports alongside the Oghara Township Stadium.
“The Secretariat was an uncompleted building during the time of Onome Ojo as Party LGA Chairman and we all came together and made an appeal to political leaders and Governor Chief James Ibori to help complete the building.
”The Ministry of Sports handed over the building to us and leaders of Ethiope West also contributed. PDP roofed the house and not a single person.

”It is a Government property and not a private property. That Chief James Ibori laid the foundation for the Secretariat and Stadium does not mean they are his personal property.
”As a Party, the PDP does not have time to waste for arrogance, I wish all PDP members to remain calm and not to retaliate as we are peaceful people and want to build our Party”, he appealed.

The repainting of the said PDP secretariat to APC colours came following the defection of former Governor James Ibori’s daughter, Hon Mrs Erhiatake Ibori Suenu , representing Ethiope Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives from PDP to APC.
