Independence tragedy: 5 Dead, 5 trailers 10 vehicles burnt as petrol trailer falls on bad portion of road in Delta
A fully loaded tanker carrying petroleum product had accident today Sunday as it fell on a bad portion of road within Oghara axis, in Delta State.
As a result of the lone accident, the petroleum product spilled on the highway and while some persons rushed there to scoop fuel the tanker caught fire.
The Town Hall Media gathered that several people were roasted alive including vehicles following the ill fated tanker. But Police said only five deaths.
Delta State Police command’s spokesman Bright Edafe a deputy Superintendent of Police DSP confirmed it saying “fire incident that occurred at Oghara today, we have recorded five death, Eight buses, two tankers, five trailers, two cars and one motor cycle burnt completely”, he said.
