Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ogbueshi Sualeze Paul Eluaka said he has instructed his lawyers to proceed immediately to the Court of Appeal following his inability to get justice at the National and State Houses of Assembly, which dismissed his petition.
He described the Tribunal judgment dismissing his petition against the PDP Candidate, Hon Bridget Anyafulu, as “not only laughable but an undiluted mixture of comedy”.
Reacting to the judgment, Ogbueshi Sualeze Eluaka said yesterday, Sunday, in Asaba that “l find this judgment laughable due to obvious glossing over of germane issues raised in my petition.
“First of all, the Tribunal failed to address the issue of the respondent not resigning her appointment as Okowa’s appointee before she (Anyafulu) picked form to contest the elections to represent Oshimili South State Constituency.
“That is a clear breach of the electoral and Constitutional laws. I have instructed my legal team to do the needful. Justice will be served l assure you all my supporters.
“I urge my teeming supporters to remain calm and law-abiding, I, Ogbueshi Eluaka affirm my implicit confidence in the ability of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to restore the nation on the path of rectitude in all areas, going forward”, he added.
Recall that The Town Hall Media had published Anyafulu’s response to the Judgment.
According to her, “it is time to bring the desired change to the Oshimili South Constituency. This, I will do by ensuring quality representation of my constituents who reposed a high level of confidence in me during the March 18 polls.
“The petition was a huge distraction, but I am glad that the coast is now clear for me to begin to dialogue with my people on the way forward”, she stated.
