Orodje of Okpe, Asagba of Asaba, others to unveil Owa Hall of Fame Sept 6

THE Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty, the Orodje of Okpe kingdom, Orhue 1, Major General Felix Mujakpuero rtd, the First Vice Chairman Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and Pere of Akugbene Mien, S P Luke Kalanama V111 , the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge (SAN) and other revered Traditional rulers across the country are set to unveil the historic Owa Hall of Fame.

The event scheduled for Saturday, the 6th of September is expected to witness the official dedication and inauguration of a multi million naira edifice built by His Royal Majesty, Obi, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor II, the Obi of Owa Kingdom.

A statement released on Saturday by Obi Efeizomor 11 stated that “the Owa Hall of Fame is a museum that will exhibit Owa historical records, artifacts customs, and tradition of Owa Kingdom.

“The building will also contain outstanding records, pictures and images of famous Owa sons and daughters who have not only distinguished themselves in their various fields of human endeavours, but also contributed enormously towards the socio-economic, political and infrastructural development of owa kingdom”.

The Owa Hall of Fame is also the repository of portraits of individuals and non owa indigenes who have exhibited and promoted core values of Owa kingdom and demonstrated true friendship as well as love for the people of the kingdom.

The event is expected to witness the esteemed presence of the His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State who is the very Special Guest of honour, the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, the Special Guest of Honour while the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is the Guest of Honour.

The inauguration coincides with the 66th coronation anniversary of the Obi of Owa, the statement added.
