Oghara people crown Ben Igbakpa as ‘Super Legislator’

THE people of Oghara kingdom in Delta State have crowned one of their sons, Hon. Ben Igbakpa for good and outstanding representation during the 9th Assembly.

Hon. Ben Rolland Igbakpa was the immediate past Member that represented Ethiope Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

In recognition of the good performance, Oghara Elite Forum (OEF) organized a reception party in his honour.

President General of the Forum, Chief Joseph Ogaga Ogunje said that Hon. Igbakpa was honoured because of his great achievements during the four years he represented the constituency in the National Assembly.

According to him, “you (Igbakpa) had made Oghara people very proud. We are honouring one of our worthy members and to appreciate him for a meritorious service as our representative in the National Assembly.

“You have made us proud by your boldness, elegant and astuteness in presentation of Bills and moving of motions on the floor of the National Assembly.

“You have left your footprints in the sands of political history”.

Also speaking, Pastor Godwin Akpovie, Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director, Delta Special Economic Zone (Koko & Kwale) Free Trade Zone, commended the forum for honouring Igbakpa.

He described him as a firebrand whose interest was working for the overall good of the people and advancing the Kingdom to higher level.

Highpoint of the ceremony was the presentation of a certificate of outstanding performance as A Super Legislator of the House of Representatives for Ethiope Federal Constituency to him.

Responding Igbakpa thanked them for the honour and called for unity, justice and trust among the people.
