Nnamdi Kanu: Judge orders security agents to escort him out of the courtroom for unruly behaviour

…as he proceeds to deliver his much-awaited judgment

There was a mild drama this Thursday morning as Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered security agents to sieze the microphone from the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and escort him out of the courtroom following Kanu’s refusal to maintain decorum.

Kanu represented himself repeatedly refused to drop the microphone at a point when the judge wanted to proceed to deliver his judgment.

He was shouting and refused appeals both from the judge and security agents to conduct himself properly.

Kanu insisted that judgment would not be delivered on the terrorism charge the Federal Government entered against him.

The judge, in the midst of the uproar,  retired briefly into his chambers and resumed sitting ten minutes later when Kanu had been escorted out of the court room .

He then proceeded to deliver his judgment.

As at the time of this report the judgment which is beamed live on some national television stations was still in progress.
