AGAINST the backdrop of six month jail term for a popular transgender, Bobrisky for abusing the naira, a viral video of State governor spraying money is trending.
He is Alhaji Mohammed Umar Bago, the Governor of Niger State, Nigeria.
The 30 seconds video shows the Governor in an open jeep throwing bundles of Naira and with crowd picking the notes.
Guarded by security operatives, the crowd yelled for more of the money yet another Nigerians is serving six month sentence for a similar crime.
The Pond News understands that the abuse of the Naira is a common feature of most burial and marriage ceremonies marked by spray of the naira and the notes being marched by the celebrants.
This is the convincing reason yet why Bobrisky should be freed.
The Law should be fair, firm and apply to all persons.
