Member representing Aniocha/Oshimili federal constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon Ngozi Okolie has sent a tribute in honour of the Omu Anioma, Obi Martha Dunkwu.

Titled, ‘TRIBUTE TO OUR DEAR OMU OKPANAM/ANIOMA, OBI MARTHA DUNKWU’, Okolie said “It was with very heavy heart that I heard the news of the passing of our dear mother, announced today the 18th of February 2024.

“She was an inspiring soul, always there for all who came to her with their troubles or to seek advice.

“To the entire Anioma people, she was one great Omu who proudly promoted our culture and tradition, she sold Anioma to the world and we were all proud to identify ourselves as Anioma people. She taught us love, patience and endurance.

“Omu, displayed the stool and truly showed she was born to be an Omu. She will be remembered for her courage, humility, love, eloquence, gentleness and peaceful disposition.

“Omu was a woman of great strength. Nigeria will miss her, Delta will miss her, Anioma will miss her.

“Our Aniocha Oshimili will surely miss her. I commiserate with the entire Anioma people, especially my dear Okpanam brothers and sisters on the passing of this great virtuous woman.

“May GOD forgive her earthly shortcomings, grant eternal rest”, he added.

Signed:

Rt. Hon Ngozi Okolie, Member Federal House of Representatives (Aniocha/Oshimili)
