Ngozi Okolie congratulates the new Asagba, says he is confident that his reign will bring further peace and development

THE Member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal constituency in the National Assembly and Chairman, Committee on Nigeria-Argentina Relations, Hon Ngozi Okolie has sent a letter of Congratulations to the Asagba-Designate, Prof Epiphany Azinge for his successful emergence as the 14th Asagba of Asaba.

He expressed confidence that his reign will bring further peace, development and prosperity to the Asaba community.

The letter reads:
“I write to extend my heartfelt congratulations on your ascension to the revered throne of our Fathers as the 14th Asagba of Asaba. Your elevation to this treasured and honoured position is an indication of your lifelong dedication, wisdom, and service, both to our community and the nation at large.

“Your remarkable career as a legal scholar and practitioner, including your tenure as the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), and your distinguished service as a two time President of the Commonwealth Arbitral Tribunal, has not only brought honour to the people of Asaba but also to Nigeria. The numerous laws you have contributed to drafting, your extensive academic publications and your unwavering commitment to justice have left an indelible mark on the legal profession.

“As you assume this traditional leadership role, I am confident that your reign will bring further peace, development and prosperity to the Asaba community. Your legacy of excellence, service, and dedication will undoubtedly guide your actions as our king, ensuring that our cultural heritage is preserved while steering Asaba towards a future of unity and progress.

“On behalf of the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal constituency, I offer our support and best wishes for a successful and impactful reign. May your leadership be blessed with wisdom, courage, and compassion.
