NDLEA Senior Officer, Orderly abducted near their headquarters in Delta

A high-ranking Officer attached to the Delta State headquarters of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been allegedly kidnapped along with his Orderly.

Incidentally, the reported abduction of the duo took place adjacent the Agency’s office headquarters located on Ogwashi-Uku-Ubulu-Uku road in Aniocha South local government area of Delta State.

The Officer (names withheld) along with his Orderly were said to have been waylaid while returning home from work at about 8pm on Friday night.

There was no resistance as they succumbed to the kidnappers, who were said to be heavily armed. They were immediately whisked away to unknown destination.

No contact has been established with the captors as at press time while the NDLEA State Command’s spokesman, Mr. John Kennedy, declined to comment on the matter, when contacted by the Guardian Correspondent in Asaba got in touch with him.

Ogwashi-Uku axis, a neighbouring community to Asaba, Delta State capital has been under siege in recent times ranging from kidnapping, killings and reprisal attacks over protracted communal clashes over land among others.
