AHEAD of tomorrow’s visit to Osun State by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Governor Ademola Adeleke, aka ‘the Dancing Governor’ has clarified among the two wives fighting over Osun First Lady title will host her.
Barely 24 hours the infighting got messier following the printing of different posters in connection with the official visit to the State went viral, the governor was forced to make a declaration to put an end to the entanglement.
The Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed on Tuesday morning, confirmed that Titilola Adeleke, the Governor’s first wife, is the officially recognized First Lady of Osun State and would receive Senator Tinubu during her visit.
He said that a flier circulated on social media, purportedly from Ngozi Adeleke, the second of the two wives of Governor Adeleke, referring to herself as the First Lady was mischievous, pointing out that the person behind it had been arrested as “Ngozi did not authorize the flier, which was designed to create confusion and discord”.
According to the statement , “The attention of Mr. Governor has been drawn to fake news in circulation about conflict over who among the Governor’s two wives is to host the First Lady of Nigeria.
“For clarification, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, the First Lady of Osun State, is officially hosting the First Lady of the Republic tomorrow (Wednesday) in line with the directive of Mr. Governor”.
