LG Council elections: I have developed a 5-point agenda to take Aniocha North to a new level, says Labour Party Chairmanship aspirant

AHEAD of the forth coming Local government Council elections in the twenty five local government areas of Delta State, an aspirant, Dr Augustine Ojogbo has declared his intention to contest the Chairmanship position of Aniocha North under the umbrella of Labour Party (LP).

Dr. Ojogbo, a native of Idumuje-Unor while formally declaring his intention to run during a stakeholders’ meeting at the Labour Party secretariat at Issele-Uku, the administrative headquarters of the local government,
said he didn’t enter the race for personal interest but to liberate the people.

Said he, “I am a seasoned technocrat with vast skills, knowledge and experience to bring the most desired and deserved dividends of democracy to the citizenry of Aniocha local government area.

“I repeat, mark my words; I want to deliver the most desired and deserved dividends of democracy to the citizenry of Aniocha North. I have a well articulated and all-encompassing 5- Point Agenda (mantra) known as AWELE.

“I therefore humbly seek your unalloyed support in this journey to becoming the Chairman as I sincerely express my intention”.

Continuing, Dr. Augustine Ojogbo who retired meritoriously as Director of Veterinary Services in the Delta State civil service said, “my mission and vision is to build and maintain a thriving local government area that is safe and secure for all residents by creating an inclusive environment and also enduring economically viable and culturally-oriented communities where people can live, work and recreate under a secure environment”.

Receiving the aspirant, the Aniocha North Labour Party Chairman, Onyebuchi Oshukwudo assured him of level playing field as well as to others who might wish to join the race.

He said that he was confident that Labour Party will win the local government, considering the the Labour movement tsunami that gave victory to Labour during the last elections.
