Kidnappers shun traditional curses laid on Issele-Uku soil, abduct Couple, kill Palm wine Tapper

Fear has gripped the residents of Issele-Uku community in Aniocha North local government area of Delta State, Nigeria, as kidnappers have continued to run riot despite the curses laid against kidnapping and heinous crimes by the entire community led by the palace.

Latest incident occurred few days ago close to the LG secretariat where a couple was kidnapped.

According to FreshFactNews report, the couple whose names were given as Mrs. and Mrs. Ayo Okeleke were kidnapped on the the 11th of February 2026, on their way to inspect their building currently under construction within the area.

“The kidnappers are said to be demanding for ransom before they could be released. In a related development, a Palm wine tapper was killed by the kidnappers and his lifeless body dumped in a farm in Isele-Uku on the 8th of February, 2026.

“As if that was not enough, an Okada rider was said to have narrowly missed being shot by the daredevil kidnappers along the Powerline axis between Ubulu uku and Ubulu Uno.

“All the incidents are said to have been reported to the Isele-Uku and Ogwashi- Uku Police Stations.

“Meanwhile,  members of the public have called on the police to urgently intervene and rescue the kidnapped victims before they are killed”,  FreshFactNews stated.

Recall that following reported cases of kidnapping activities within the community and environs, the people of Issele-Uku led by their traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi Nduka Ezeagwuna went spiritual by laying curses on kidnappers and other criminal elements terrorising the community sometime in May last year.
