Governor Sherrif Oborevwori of Delta State, Nigeria, has undertaken a minor cabinet reshuffle in which the State Commissioner for Information Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza popularly called Agegda has been displaced.
Although it has not been officially announced or any reason adduced about his displacement from the Information ministry, the former Commissioner for Information during Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration, Charles Aniagwu has been assigned to oversee Information ministry in combination with his portfolio as Commissioner for Works in charge of Rural Roads.
It therefore implies that by Monday, the 13th of January 2025, Aniagwu would be holding TWO portfolios in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s cabinet till further notice.
A source close to Hard Reporters stated that
“This development was concluded few days ago and as I talk with you the works commissioner, Charles Aniagwu shall be resuming the office of the information ministry next week Monday. And he shall oversee the two ministries for the meantime. This information I am giving you is authentic and has not been gotten by any Journalist in the whole of Delta state and beyond”.
It was gathered that Osuoza will be redeployed to another sector yet to be named.
The Townhall reliably gathered that the reshuffle was sequel to high wired politics between a political godfather and political godson.
