What an irony?

The Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria is currently populated with more Lecturers than the Students.

Investigation by The Pond News revealed that “In the Department of Agriculture, no single student in Year I. In Year II, the students are less than six while only five students are in Year III.

“Even more hard hit is the Department of Home Economics as there is one student in Year I, four students in Year II and three in Year III .

“Despite the shortage of students, the management of the institution recruited additional 50 Lecturers. The Federal Ministry of Education is also paying the idle lecturers.

“All efforts to speak to the Provost, Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, Delta State, Dr. Josephine Anene-Okeakwa proved futile as her phone line failed to connect after repeated calls”, The Pond News further stated.
