Ibom Air, Unruly Passenger saga: I’m coming with the full account of the entire story once I recover from ongoing trauma, says Comfort Emmanson, as Delta Gov’s Aide offers her Half a Million Naira job per month

By Austin Ogwuda

Controversial Ibom Air passenger, Ms Comfort Emmanson, who regained freedom hours ago from Kirikiri prison has told Nigerians to wait:  “I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event”.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, as captured by Vanguard, she said,

“Thank you so much for all the Prayers, Love, and support, I’ve been released from the Prison, but I’m still in pains due to how I was treated. I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event.

“Thank you so much my Lovely Friends and Supporters. I really appreciate y’all from the button of my heart. God bless y’all. THANK YOU MY GREAT GOD!!!”

Her message came hours after an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ogba struck out the five-count charge against her, which alleged that she disrupted the peace aboard an Ibom Air flight, assaulted a crew member, and acted in a manner capable of breaching public order.

The charges were withdrawn after the complainant and the airline indicated they were no longer interested in pursuing the matter, prompting the presiding Magistrate, Olanrewaju Salami, to order her discharge.

Meanwhile, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Ossai Ovie Success has extended a warm invitation to her to visit Delta State.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ossai said he is offering Emmanson an all-expense-paid trip to Delta State, popularly known as the “Big Heart” and the “Home of Global Tourism Hub.”

The package includes flight tickets, accommodation in a four-star hotel, a comprehensive state tour, and a ticket to attend the upcoming Delta Social Media Summit scheduled for August 28 in Asaba.

Beyond the leisure package, Ossai revealed that a job opportunity with a monthly salary of ₦500,000 has been secured for Emmanson in Delta State.

“I’d like to extend an invitation for her to visit Delta State and unwind after her release from Kirikiri prison. She won’t be disappointed, as I will be giving her a good time,” he said. “If you’re in touch with her, please ask her to DM me.”

Ossai’s gesture, which combines tourism, empowerment and social reintegration, is aimed at providing Emmanson with a fresh start and an opportunity to explore Delta State’s attractions and economic prospects.
