AMIDST water-tight security, fomer Commissioner for Technical Education, Hon. Joan Onyemaechi aka Ada Anioma made her third public appearance on Tuesday (yesterday) at King Jesus & I Ministry where she was kidnapped on 30th July 2024, during the usual Tuesday service.
She is the General Overseer and Presiding Pastor of the Church.
Her first public appearance finally put paid to the long suspense about her whereabouts on Sunday this week during a special Thanksgiving at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Mega Regional headquarters in Asaba to celebrate her safe return.
Despite confirmation from the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwobda that she was released in Bayelsa State, some persons were still sceptic until she finally surfaced in person on Sunday.
She recalled with nostalgia that in the year 2010, she faced political challenge during her pursuit to return to the Delta State House of Assembly for a second tenure, representing Aniocha South constituency, God led her to the land where she planted King Jesus and I Ministry and called it – ‘The Altar of Return’.
Her words, “As I went on that journey, I was asking the Lord, I said Father, they (abductors) took me from the Altar of Return and I said you who returned me to the House of Assembly for the second tenure, return me to this Altar of Return where they took me from and today, I have returned”, amidst thunderous ovation from the congregation.
“They (abductors) came prepared as a result of story or stories from certain persons.
At a point when I was praying, O Lord, release me from this captivity, God said I should change the prayer to O Lord, release us. I then wondered who were the us
“At that point”, she went on, “I then calm down. The Spirit of God then told me, they (abductors) held you captive, Satan, held them captive. Is it the kidnappers who don’t know me? Is it the kidnappers who don’t have my address? Is it the kidnappers who do not have any business with me
Glory be to God, I am here”.
She was bitterly touched over the killing of her Police Orderly and driver and led others including men of God from Living Faith to the very spot where her Police Orderly and driver were shot dead for brief solemn memorial service.
There was laying of wreaths and lighting of two candles in the memory of the fallen Aides.
