CONTRARY to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s Spokesman, Sir Festus Ahon who came out with a press release saying that the APC and Labour Party did not field candidates in Saturday’s local government elections as well as refusing to campaign, Prince Ferdinand Obaugo Chukwudi, the Labour Party (LP) Chairmanship Candidate for Aniocha South has countered him.
The Labour Party candidate for Aniocha South in puncturing the CPS’s claim said he campaigned vigorously but was rigged out.
In a statement made available to The Townhall in Asaba today (Wednesday), Chukwudi said “my lawyers are already perfecting the documentation of my petition to be filed as soon as possible before the Tribunal.
Said he, “I am proceeding to challenge the declaration of Pastor Jude Chukwunweike of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“Firstly, there were no election materials available at the Polling Units raising concerns about the fairness and transparency of the voting process.
“I was intentionally disenfranchised, suggesting a deliberate attempt to sideline me.
Another point is that that none of the Labour Party’s agents signed any result sheets, thus casting doubt on the authenticity and legitimacy of the declared election results”, he added.
