CONTRARY to rumours making the rounds that the former Governor of Delta State, Nigeria, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan has passed, Uduaghan popularly known as ‘Asamaigor’ within the political circle has promptly debunked it.
Although this is not the first time rumour about his health condition was going viral, Uduaghan who turns 70 by October this year said he is currently holidaying abroad, having a well-deserved rest after hectic political storm he went through in Delta.
His Media Assistant, Monoyo Edon in a statement released said, “His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON is very hale and hearty.
“Yes, he is abroad on vacation and of course that includes observing some routine medical check ups. Asamaigor will be 70 years in October. The information contained in that post is already stale as Dr. Uduaghan has moved to another location for relaxation. He had an intensely busy quarter in Delta State with lags from politics and providing leadership to our party.
“I had already commented on the post you’re referring to. The poster just wanted to trend by creating an air of confusion but I am glad a lot of his readers already know his antics.
“Coincidentally, within an hour of that false alarm post, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan even made a social media post this morning where he wished the Ologbotsere of Warri, Engr. (Chief) Oma Eyewuoma a happy 80th birthday”, the statement added.

In a related development, the wife of multiple award winner, renowned Nigerian Actor and Film Executive, Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs aka Olu Jacobs has come out to debunk the rumour about him.
The clarification came as a result of the alleged news that Joke has passed which went viral on Sunday.
Said the wife, “my husband is alive and doing just fine”.
