Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has congratulated his spiritual father, founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church, Dr David Oyedepo as he clocks 69 years.
Oborevwori in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, acknowledged Bishop Oyedepo’s immense contribution to nation-building through prayers and grooming of God-fearing Christian faithful in the Country and across the world.
The Governor described Bishop Oyedepo as a role model whose leadership credentials were worth studying.
“As our father in faith, you have continued to render indelible service to humanity by making yourself available to mentor humanity at large.
“It is on record that you distinguished yourself as an astute preacher, indefatigable administrator and leader of immense repute and we remain very proud of your sterling accomplishments in the leadership of the church.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Delta State, I congratulate our father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo on his 69th birth anniversary.
“I join your family and entire leadership and worshippers at Living Faith Church (aka Winners Chapel), friends and well-wishers to thank Almighty God for your life which has been marked by robustly sterling accomplishments and abounding fulfillment.
“As you celebrate this anniversary, it is my prayer that Almighty God continue to bless you with good health and more years of happiness and contributions to nation building and God’s vineyard”.
In a related development, the governor has also felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
The message conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon reads:
“On behalf of my family, the Government and people of Delta State, I extend our warmest wishes to Muslims celebrating Eid-el-Maulud in Delta, Nigeria and around the world. I congratulate all muslim faithfulon this special day.
“My goal and prayer for you all as you celebrate is that you would live up to the spiritual principles taught by the Holy Prophet, which include piety, love, justice, fairness, equity, peaceful coexistence, tolerance, honesty, and a commitment to our duties.
“Let’s not forget to pray without ceasing for our country to experience better progress among our fellow citizens, regardless of religion or region of origin, and to encourage greater dedication to the peace, unity, and stability of the country.
“I sincerely hope and pray that this celebration would benefit and enhance the greatness of our beloved country and cheer up every home in Delta, Nigeria and around the world,” said the governor.
