Gbagi was a fierce advocate of good governance, says Ibori, Sheriff Oborevwori mourns too

FORMER governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori in a condolence message released through a Social media handle has described late Chief Kenneth Gbagi as a fierce advocate of good governance committed to the upliftment Delta State.

The message reads, “With a heavy heart, I mourn the passing of my dear friend and brother, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi. Olorogun was a very courageous politician and a fierce advocate of good governance.

“Delta State has lost a true statesman and servant of the people. Olorogun Gbagi’s commitment to uplifting our state and its citizens were unimpeachable. His life was one of selfless service and sacrifice for the greater good.

“While he has departed this world, Olorogun Gbagi’s shining legacy and example will forever light our path. We mourn this irreplaceable loss, but take solace that his life’s work has made an indelible impact on our state. On behalf of my family, I say farewell Olorogun Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi – you will be forever missed and honoured”, he added.

Also, the Delta State governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori in a condolence message signed on his behalf by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS Festus Ahon said, “On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I mourn the passing of a renowned politician and astute businessman, Chief Kenneth Gbagi, who passed on in Lagos on Saturday.

“The news of his death came to me as a terrible shock and my heart-felt condolences go to his family, the people of Oginibo and the members of the Social Democratic Party, SDP”.
