Twenty students of College of Nursing Sciences Eku, Ethiope East local government area of Delta State, Nigeria received scholarships worth ₦150,000 each from the Fred and Lilly Okotie Foundation.
The presentation which took place on campus, marked the first scholarship gesture of its kind in the School’s history.
Excitement filled the air as the beneficiaries, drawn from different levels of study—expressed gratitude for the timely financial relief.
The School management appreciated the current college’s Provost and commended Dr. and Mrs. Fred and Lilly Okotie for their generosity and vision, noting that the initiative will ease the burden of tuition and inspire academic excellence.
The Provost, who played a key role in attracting the Foundation’s attention described the gesture as a “life-changing intervention that will be remembered for years.”
Representatives of the Fred and Lilly Okotie Foundation reaffirmed their commitment to supporting quality education and youth empowerment in Delta State, promising that the scholarship programme will become a regular feature.
