EREBE TASKS CORPS MEMBERS ON HARDWORK

By Onoriode Etatsemi

Delta State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, Mr Omamuzo Erebe, has charged Corps members serving in the ministry to be industrious and diligent in the discharge of their assigned duties.

Mr Erebe stated this while addressing them in the ministry in Asaba.

He pointed out that they stood a better chance in their future endeavours, if they performed effectively while in service.

Quoting from the Scripture, Erebe said “sees a man who is diligent in his ways, he will not stand before mean men, but he will stand before kings.”

The Solicitor-General advised them to excel in what so ever they did, bearing in mind that the moment they were through with service, family pressure would set in upon them to meet up with societal expectations of them.

He admonished them further to always feel free to channel their complaints to him or their leaders when ever the need arose for immediate solution.

Erebe called on coppers who were already called to the Bar to always go to court and handle cases to enhance their proficiency on the job after service .

Some directors in the ministry who also advised the Corps members told them to always respect seniority, take their duties very serious and feel free to say what their challenge were at all time .

Mr Osita Okediadi, Head of Revenue Unit , told them that the Legal Profession is a unique one where lawyers should dress properly to work as dignified men and women.

Paulette Popo, Head of the Attorney-General’s Chambers, stated that there was no Law firm in the country bigger than the ministry of Justice, appealing to them to explore the unique advantage in the ministry, so that at the end, they would be better than what they were before they came.

A Corp Member, Mr Ogwugwa Cosmos, appreciated the Solicitor-General and his boss, Mr Ifode Erheriene, Head of the Ogwashi-Uku Zonal office of the ministry for their fatherly role and support to the Corps members.

He described Mr Erebe as a man filled with the benevolent spirit of human kindness.
