DELTA State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs Rose Ezewu has reversed the recent redeployment of Principals and Teachers across the State on the ground that she was neither aware nor consulted before the exercise was embarked upon.

The Commissioner while speaking on issues concerning the welfare of Principals and Teachers in the State said she was totally embarrassed about the purported redeployment without the consent of her ministry which oversees the affairs of the Post Primary Education Board (PPEB) that carried out the exercise.

According to her, there are procedures to follow in the redeployment of teachers in the State, warning that any posting made without due process would be investigated and reversed with immediate effect.

The Commissioner while calling on those behind the rumoured transfer of teachers to desist forthwith as appropriate measures would be taken against them if indicted.

In this vein she directed that all teachers and principals in the State public Secondary schools to remain where they are as “the Ministry did not authorize any posting”.
