Delta CP hands over ‘wanted’ Ewu monarch to Army authorities

THE embattled Ovie of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom, Ughelli South local government area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo, Urhukpe 1 who surrendered himself to the Delta State police command has been handed over to the Army authorities last night, The Townhall can authoritatively confirm.

Spokesman of the Delta State Police command, Bright Edafe, a Superintendent of Police SP told our Reporter on phone this Friday morning that “he (Ewu monarch) turned himself in and we have handed him over”.

Edafe however did not expantiate further whether he was handed over to the Army Base in Asaba or flown to Abuja.

The Ovie before surrendering to the Police headquarters in Asaba Thursday evening had told a group of journalists from an undisclosed location that he was embarrassed and surprised to be included among persons declared wanted by the Defence Headquarters.
