FORMER Member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeke Ukpe, representing Ndokwa West constituency is dead.
The circumstances of his passing were sketchy but a report carried by Ndokwa Vanguard said “Rest in peace great man CHIEF EMEKE UKPE, former Ndokwa West House of Assembly Member, former Chairman Ndokwa West local government council.
“May the Almighty God in heaven accept your soul in Jesus name.
“You are a good example to Ndokwa and Ukwuani land. You made many people millionaires as a Local government Chairman, a lot of persons were employed, thousands of youths were out of street because of your leadership. Rest in peace the People’s General”, the report stated.
He was sometime in 2017 kidnapped along Kwale-Ughelli road between Kwale and Ozoro while trying to avoid a pothole with his Jeep.
The abductors later established contacts with the family demanding N200 million but regained freedom at last and wasn’t clear if the ransom was eventually paid or not.
