Declaration of war against Activists in Delta State: Police whisk Fejiro Oliver from Abuja to Asaba

…brings to 3 the number of Journalists/Rights Activists in custody within one month 

Fiery Public Commentator and Journalist, Fejiro Oliver has been arrested.

According to a report by the Emerald News, Oliver was allegedly arrested on the orders of powerful forces in Delta State.

He was reportedly picked up from his office in Garki, Abuja, taken to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) and later moved to the airport for onward flight to Asaba, the Delta State capital.

At the time of filing this report, it was still uncertain his whereabouts.

His arrest brings to three the number of Activists arrested in the State for alleged different offences.

Roll call of Activists arrested within one month.

Recall that Delta State-based Human Rights Activist, Comrade Victor Ojei alias ‘Wong Box’ was arrested and charged to Court for allegedly assaulting staff of Benin Electricity Distribution Company BEDC who went to his house to disconnect supply of power due to huge debt and has since been charged to Court.

Another Delta State based Human Rights Activist/Founder of Foundation for Justice of the Underprivileged (FJU), Comrade Elvis Ekrakpoariemu was arrested and charged to Court and presently remanded in prison custody.
