… while Police are yet to officially make public the autopsy report conducted
….fate of the husband on protective custody unknown
Whilst the autopsy report is yet to be officially released by the Delta State police command investigating the alleged sudden and mysterious death of the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Trade and Export, Mrs. Shimite Bello Love, an Obituary poster announcing her burial itenery has surfaced.
According to the Obituary poster, her remains would be interred on the 27th of next month (June) at Ebu, Oshimili North local government area of Delta State, Nigeria.
The poster which was signed by three persons did not indicate whether they were signing on behalf of the family or not but merely dropped their first names.
The last time The Townhall contacted the Delta State Police Command’s Spokesman, Bright Edafe a Superintendent of Police SP, for an update, he didn’t respond.
Edafe had earlier disclosed that some members of the family of the woman were pointing accusing fingers at him and were planning to attack him hence he (husband) invited us to protect him.
While the official autopsy report is still pending, her husband, Pastor David Favour Love, who is currently under investigation, took to social media suggesting that Shimite died of hypertension and that the autopsy has cleared him of any perceived foul play.
But the woman’s family immediately refuted the husband claim linking the death to hypertension, describing it as “premature and grossly inaccurate”.
According to them as reported by Document Women, a representative of the family (names withheld) stated that “The truth is that while Shimite did have hypertension, it was not the cause of her death. The facts suggest that there’s more to the story. We demand justice for Shimite”.
As at the time of this report Police are yet to clear the air whether the embattled husband is still under their protective custody, released on bail or going to face charges.
