Controversial Media guru, Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has been nominated as the Most Performing Media Personality in Political Communication Strategy and Media Politics.
Oghenesivbe who served under the last dispensation is noted for his controversial outbursts which forced former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to fire him at a time but later reinstated him as one of the senior Media aides.
It is in the public domain that he wanted to move higher in office with the present administration but yet to click.
Coalition for Media Politics and Governance CMPG in receiving the news of the award noted that it is an award well deserved.
Oghenesivbe was the group’s Convener and immediate past Executive Assistant on Communications to former Governor of Delta State.
The commendation was contained in a goodwill message jointly signed by Acting Chairman, Engr. Emmanuel Mormah Chuks, Deputy Chairman South, Mr Robinson Ekengbuda, and State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Onajite Malcolm Tagbarha to celebrate the nomination.
Oghenesivbe was nominated as the most performing media personality in Political Communication Strategy and Media Politics, by the Editorial Board of Top Flyers Magazine, an Abuja based international publication.
The group said Oghenesivbe “has been a rallying point and professional father figure to many practitioners in the mainstream and new media community, and effectively coordinated the training and capacity building communication workshops for government appointees and media partners from during Okowa’s administration.”
He worked very hard with his media partners to successfully keep the mass media space safe for good governance to strive in Delta State, by doggedly neutralizing misinformation, negative media propaganda targeted at government and the governor, while projecting government policies, programmes and achievements”, the statement added.
