Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State Council says “Chief Patrick Onyeobi’s enduring legacy will forever be cherished as a symbol of Asaba’s rich traditional heritage”.

This was contained in a condolence message conveyed on behalf of the Association by its Chairman, Comrade Jude Obiemenyego.
According to the statement, “His name resonated widely across the defunct Bendel State and Nigeria, underscoring his profound impact on society.

“While death is a necessary end for every mortal, the passage of the Iyase of Asaba, Chief Patrick Onyeobi would be highly felt because of his wise counsel, any time, any day you are opportuned to be in his presence.

“He was a great man, intelligent, charismatic and an epitome of knowledge and wisdom. He lived a fulfilled life worthy of note and celebrating.

“On behalf of my media family, the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State Council, I heartily commiserate with our Treasurer, Comrade Nnamdi Odiwe over the passage of our highly revered Chief, the Iyase of Asaba, Chief Patrick Onyeobi.

“We are consoled by the fact that the Iyase saw it all, having lived for 90 years and left indelible foot prints of positive legacies.

“It is my sincere wish and prayers that, God in His infinite mercies grant him eternal rest”, the statement added.
