Former member of House of Representatives, Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and Director General of Ned Nwoko 2023 Delta North Senatorial campaign, Hon. Pascal Adigwe has expressed satisfaction that Governor Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Philip Shaibu has finally reconciled.

The former Delta lawmaker who said he is a personal friend of the Edo Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu noted that the submission of the Edo Deputy Governor to the authority of Obaseki was an act of good breeding and maturity.

He however blamed the face off which attracted media hype on meddlesome interlopers but expressed joy that the destabilizing plot of their political detractors had ended in futility.

Adigwe, Deputy National Organizing Secretary of PDP who stated this in a statement issued in Abuja said Governor Obaseki and Shaibu had actually demonstrated wisdom and character uncommon in the corridors of power worthy of emulation.

According to him, “the Obaseki/Shaibu Peace Pact after a political rift indeed reflected that both men deeply bear the best interests of Edo in their hearts as leaders”.

The resolve of both leaders for rapprochement, he remarked, called for emulation among all key democratic actors in Nigeria, while noting that Edo and Delta States as twin sisters of former Bendel State are endowed with governors and deputies with high regards for leadership harmony especially under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
