A notable political leader and die-hard member of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Oshimili South local government area of Delta State, Nigeria, Evangelist Ebielim Maduemezia, popularly called ‘Akpi’ is dead.
Competent family sources hinted The Townhall that he reportedly passed Monday evening at a private hospital in Asaba after a brief illness.
Maduemezia, was highly respected and dreaded because of his astuteness in the political field, having carved a niche for himself as a go-getter and a no-nonsense politician of note.
He held several political and leadership positions, including PDP Chairman, Oshimili South local government area and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor among others.

Meanwhile, the PDP family in Oshimili South is in grief. First to react was the former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, the Rt. Hon. Peter Onwusanya.
Onwusanya in a press statement made available to The Townhall said, “He was a political encyclopaedia, a teacher of men and an inspiration to many.
“May God grant his family and his political associates and the PDP family the fortitude to bear his loss. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace”.
