Anioma Traditional Rulers Forum said they are in full support for the creation of Anioma State, which scaled through its First Reading in the Senate yesterday (Tuesday).
They made their position known during an interactive session with Senator Ned Nwoko representing Delta North in the Nigerian Senate held at Obior on Monday before he flew back to Abuja.
The Anioma Royal Fathers in a 5-point Communique signed by its Secretary who is also the Obi of Atuma Iga, Obi Daniel Chukwuka Ogbudo however advised Senator Nwoko to further interact with other critical Stakeholders of Anioma (Delta North) extraction so as to forge a collaborative to achieve this noble goal.
Below is the Communique on the interactive session between Senator Ned Nwoko and Anioma Traditional Rulers Forum at the Palace of the Obi of Obior, Aniocha North local government area of Delta State, Nigeria on Monday, 1st of July 2024
It reads:
*That the Senator reported his multifarious Motions in the Senate and expressed his unwavering commitment to the Anioma State project , emphasizing the potential of Anioma State to foster economic growth, enhance political representation and inclusive social development.
*That the Senator provided updates on engagements with relevant Stakeholders including Federal authorities and fellow Lawmakers to advance the State creation process and his role together with other Delta Lawmakers in the release of Monarch of Ewu kingdom, His Royal Majesty Clement Ikolo from detection over Okuama saga.
*That the Forum commended the Senator’s quality of representation, dedication and resilience and acknowledged the significant progress made thus far.
*That the Forum while reiterating their unshakable support for the Anioma State creation agenda also encourage the Senator to interact with other critical Stakeholders of Anioma extraction so as to forge a collaborative to achieve this noble goal.
*That the Session concluded with a renewed sense of unity and purpose as the Forum reassured the Senator of its collective resolve to support the quest for the Anioma State.
