Edo Guber change of power from PDP to APC will be replicated in Delta come 2027, Orubebe boasts, as Adigwe panics

A staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Elder Godsday Orubebe says the Party is repositioning to wrestle power governance from the age -long PDP-led government in Delta State, come 2027 elections.

Orubebe who is currently involved in the reconciliation process of aggrieved Party members spoke shortly to newsmen after a meeting of APC leaders and members at the Mariam Babangida Center, Asaba, Thursday.

The former Minister for Niger Delta Affairs criticized the PDP’s 24-year reign in Delta State accusing it of failing to maximize the humongous resources accruing to the State for the benefit of the majority of its people.
His words, “We have agreed to set aside grievances and work in unity to secure Delta for the APC in 2027.

“We were close in the last election and it was clear that the people of Delta wanted a change. They wanted the APC to govern because we had better programs and ideas. We are confident that come 2027, we will emerge victorious.

“Just like in Edo State, leaders in Delta APC have realized the importance of reconciliation, and we are replicating that. We are confident that come 2027, we will have an APC governor in Delta State”, he vowed.

In a related development, the Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and former House of Representatives Member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Hon. Pascal Nwaoranine Adigwe has called on the PDP in Ondo State to brace up and not rest on its oars as the State Gubernatorial election draws near.

Adigwe in a statement stated that the advice has become necessary in order not to suffer the same fate as witnessed in the recent Edo polls.

He called on the National body of PDP to show genuine support to the Party’s candidate in Ondo, saying that “whatever happens, we will continue to cooperate and fight harder to continue to win elections until the end of this political evil and wickedness comes”.

Adigwe said what happened in Edo State was unbelievable, terrible and worrisome trend which has further deepen democratic dictatorship in Nigeria”, he lamented.
