Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will tomorrow, Monday, 27th of November 2023 flag off the construction of three flyovers, cloverleaf and pedestrian bridges worth N78 billion awarded to Julius Berger in Effurun and Warri metropolis in Delta Central and South Senatorial District of the State.
A statement by the Special Assistant on Communication and Orientation to the governor, Dr. Wilfred Latimore Oghenesivbe said “the construction of the mega road projects shall provide new and multifaceted jobs, create wealth for skilled and unskilled workers at various sites, as well as flourishing business for food vendors, suppliers and consultants.
“Upon completion the flowers and expanded roads would resolve problems of heavy traffic congestions, facilitate movement of goods and services for sustainable socioeconomic development in those areas.
“This is the very first time construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, is moving high technology equipment to Delta State for road construction since the creation of the State.
“It is going to be a landmark event expected to attract top dignitaries across the state, including members of the state executive council, party leaders, senior political appointees, royal fathers and people from all walks of life.
“Invited guests and dignitaries are expected to be seated on or before 9:30:am, at DSC roundabout” Oghenesivbe stated.
