Bloody Congress: Mixed reactions trail reported attack on Ibori’s daughter

By Austin Ogwuda

THE purported attack on the daughter of the former governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, Hon Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu representing Ethiope federal constituency has elicited mixed reactions.

Since the ugly incident happened on Saturday, The Townhall Ng reached out to some political figures from that zone including the Delta State Police Command’s Spokesman, Bright Edafe, a Superintendent of Police (SP) for reactions but to no avail as at the time of this report.

However, the Social media community, otherwise known as Netizen,  is buzzing.

For purpose of identity protection, The Townhall Ng would simply mention the first name of the social media user, withholding other names.

Some of the reactions, randomly picked are hereby published unedited.

Someone who came with Army, Navy correctional center officials, DSS and Nigeria police force was attacked? Pls gather your facts before coming to the public. Maybe the army, Navy Police, and DSS are now gunmen.

Bernard

The truth is Rt. Hon. Erhiatake is facing the anger of her own people. You cannot abandon Ethiope West, relocate to Abuja, and expect a red carpet when you finally show up for a congress. Her people rejected her, pure and simple

Alex

Fake news , gunmen cannot attack this lady in her home town

Smart

This ‘attacked by gunmen’ headline is just a desperate damage-control strategy. Her camp is trying to cover up the massive embarrassment of being rejected by her own LGA

Friday

Why will they take conference to inner village?

Victor

It’s a shame that the only time they hear about her in the news with regards to her constituents is a violence based report. Other federal reps are doing great and mighty works in their constituencies… But what has she done in 4 years to deserve a second tenure?

Precious

I have the videos, it’s true.. She was attacked.

Toma

Where are the constituency projects for Ethiope Federal Constituency? The people at Ovade were not hired thugs; they were angry constituents asking for accountability for their money. Stop the blackmail.

Ivan

Dont mislead the public, the daughter of a lion can not be attacked by her own people,it was a peaceful Congress.

Jeffrey

There are leaders that serve or support his father in that LGA that stood behind her when his father is not around for what she is enjoying today but she choose to disrespect his kings men, well na she sabi, the good book said respect your father and your mother so that your days may be long on earth or in politics.

Exodus

This woman have not done anything wrong oh please you people should allow her to go for her second term please world please.
