The entire political family of the late Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi (SPON) has expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Delta State, Deltans, particularly Delta Northerners, and Nigerians at large for the overwhelming show of love, concern, and solidarity following the passing of their principal and leader.
In a statement issued on behalf of the SPON political family, they described the outpouring of condolences as a testament to the enduring impact Senator Nwaoboshi made during his lifetime through dedicated service to humanity, Delta State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The family noted that even in death, Senator Nwaoboshi remains eternally grateful for the rare privileges he was given to serve in various capacities, as well as for the strong relationships he built with critical stakeholders across Delta State and Nigeria.
According to the statement, these bonds, founded on mutual respect, courage, and commitment to public good, will remain indelible.
The SPON family extended special appreciation to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, for standing firmly with the late Senator even after his passing. They described the Governor’s support as deeply comforting and symbolic of true leadership and statesmanship.
They further assured Governor Oborevwori that the SPON political family will continue to work closely with him, offering unwavering cooperation and loyalty, while recognizing him as their leader and the father of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.
The statement concluded with prayers for God’s comfort for all who mourn the departed Senator and a call on supporters and well-wishers to sustain his legacy of courage, service, and commitment to the development of Delta State and Nigeria.
