ON THE PASSING OF DISTINGUISHED SENATOR PETER ONYELUKACHUKWU NWAOBOSHI

My dear constituents,

It is with a deep sense of sorrow and a heavy heart that I join you in mourning the passing of Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi, a towering political leader, statesman, and proud son of Anioma land.

Senator Nwaoboshi lived a life of service, courage, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of our people. As a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Delta North Senatorial District, and as a former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, he dedicated himself to the pursuit of justice, development, and equity for our region and the nation at large.

Beyond his legislative accomplishments, Senator Nwaoboshi was a passionate advocate for the Anioma cause and a strong voice for the marginalized. He brought unusual boldness, and conviction to the course of our people, and his influence in shaping political thought and leadership within Delta State and Nigeria will not be forgotten.

To the people of Delta North, this loss is deeply personal. We have lost a leader whose contributions to party politics, governance, and national development remain enduring marks of a life well lived in service to humanity.

On behalf of myself and my office, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Nwaoboshi family, the people of Delta North Senatorial District, (Anioma nation), and all who were touched by his leadership and mentorship. May GOD grant his family the fortitude to bear this great loss, and may his soul rest in perfect peace.

As we mourn, let us also celebrate a legacy of service, courage, and dedication one that will continue to inspire present and future generations.

May his memory be a blessing to us all.

RT. Hon. NGOZI Lawrence Okolie, Member, House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria
