Elder Statesman, Chief Chris Biose to chair 2025 Asaba Correspondents Chapel Seminar next week Wednesday 

Elder Statesman, Chief Chris Biose has been named as the Chairman of the occasion for the 2025 Asaba Correspondents Chapel Seminar slated to hold on Wednesday 26th November.

According to a statement by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Comrade Omon- Julius Onabu, along the Chairman of Asaba Correspondents Chapel, Comrade Ifeanyi Olannye, and the Committee Secretary, Comrade Ann Eluwa, the ceremony which will feature Panel discussions by experts.

It reads, “Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori is expected to declare open the 2025 Asaba Correspondents Chapel Seminar slated for Wednesday 26th November at the Hotel Benezia, Asaba.

“Oborevwori as the Special Guest of Honour will be accompanied by a retinue of top government officials , including the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, and members of the House as well as technocrats from within and outside Delta State.

“The SEMINAR/WORKSHOP slated for 26th-29th November, 2025, is themed “Understanding the M.O.R.E Agenda of Governor Oborevwori’s Administration: Meaningful Development in the Power Sector as Panacea for Economic Recovery and Development in Delta State and Nigeria” – an overview to be given by the Hon Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu.

“Former Minister of Power, Professor Barth Nnaji is among the distinguished eminent Nigerians that will deliver lectures at the 2025 Asaba Correspondents Chapel Seminar.

“Professor Nnaji, the Chief Executive Officer , Geometric Power Limited, Aba (GPAL), will deliver the Keynote Address: “Nigeria Power Sector Reforms; Implication and Challenges for Emerging State Economies, National Economic Recovery.”

“Another eminent Nigerian and academic, Professor Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, Rector, Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, will speak on “Energy Mix for Sustainable Economic Recovery and Development of Delta State and Nigeria.”

“On Security”, the statement went on, “the Tantita Group, Security Agency will proffer solutions on specialized security for the power sector.

“The event under the chairmanship of Elder Statesman, Chief Chris Biose, will be spiced with spectacular artiste performances and presentation of awards to some Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in public service, politics, journalism and philanthropy.

“NUJ Asaba Correspondents Chapel numerous partners including the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission, Dr Isaac Akpoveta, and the Director General of Delta State Bureau of Orientation and Communications, Dr Fred Latimor Oghenesibve will be in attendance.

“The ceremony which will feature panel discussions by experts on the main lecture, will have in attendance Chairman and members of the State Working Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Delta State Council, as well as other invited guests from within and outside Delta State including a veteran journalist, philanthropist and managing director/CEO, Iyanda Farms, Delta State, Nigeria, Asiwaju Sola Adebayo”.
