Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is likely to dissolve his Cabinet very soon, a highly dependable source has hinted.
The source, according to SaharaReporters “attended the closed-door meeting on Wednesday (today) comprising of 25 local government council chairmen, members of the State House of Assembly, and other key PDP stakeholders at the Government House, where the governor informed them of his finalized decision to leave the PDP for the ruling APC”.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source revealed that the governor is also preparing to dissolve his cabinet soon to make room for new appointments, including individuals from the APC.
“In few days time, the governor will also be dissolving his cabinet to accommodate other APC members.
The arrangement will be a 60/40 thing. The APC will take 40 while the PDP will take 60 in the new cabinet to be formed in the shortest possible time. As we move on, other things and plans will be unveiled. The 60/40 will also be applied in the structure of the State party”, the source stated.

Meantime, the former Delta State Governor and 2023 vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, a political godfather to Governor Sheriff’ Oborevwori has hinted his constituents of his imminent defection from PDP too.

Okowa, in an emotion-laden voice was seen addressing his supporters in Ika dialect in a trending video, assuring them that the decision to dump PDP was carefully considered and made in their best interest.
He told them, “Be assured that we will not go in the wrong direction; we will take the best direction, the best path for our people”.
