Emerging facts have revealed that the present Permanent Secretary (PS) Primary Education, Basic and Secondary Education as well as Agriculture, Mr Austin Oghoro is considered to be the most senior PS in the entire Delta State to succeed the immediate past Head of Service, Sir Reginald Bayoko and could have succeeded him.

However, The Townhall reliably gathered that Mr Oghoro is due for retirement early next month, according to competent source hence he was allegedly skipped.

The source further added that DR. (MRS.) MININIM J. OSEJI whose appointment as the new HoS was confirmed by the State government Sheriff Oborevwori on Monday this week “has two years to bow out of Delta State Civil Service. She just clocked 58 years few days ago.

“Let’s hope that the new HOS , Dr Oseji will be as nice, accommodating and media friendly as Sir Reginald Bayoko”, the source was quoted saying.

Meanwhile, the former Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta State Council, Comrade Norbert Kpomiose Chiazor has said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has shown high regard for competence and fairness with the appointment of Dr.Mrs.Minimim Oseji as State’s Head of Service.

Chiazor, an indigene of Idumuje Unor and Executive Assistant Media to the Governor on Media said the people of his ancestral home were in a festive mood.
In a statement, he said “His Excellency, Rt.Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is a good governor with moral character. He recognized seniority, intellect and due process in appointing Dr.Mrs.Minimim Oseji, an outstanding medical doctor and career civil servant as Delta Head of Service.

“Her husband of blessed memory, Hon.Justice Chukwudumebi Oseji was an illustrious son of Idumuje Unor whose departure in 2021 saddened the entire community.
