By Austin Ogwuda

A Socio-political Movement known as Agugu Anioma (Odi Anyi Mma) has endorsed the immediate past governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for the Senate, come 2027, saying that his achievements speak for him.

Speaking during the endorsement at Ukala, Oshimili North local government area of Delta State, on Monday, the Convener of the group, Hon. Louis Ogugua Ndukwe announced that the group’s decision followed consultations with critical stakeholders including traditional rulers, artisans, youths, women, market women, civil societies, and professionals, after which they concluded that “Senator Okowa is best suited, given his exemplary antecedents in the Senate and as Governor of Delta State”.

Hon. Ndukwe, a former Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Council, said, “Agugu Anioma stands firmly on the side of performance, credibility and verifiable results. Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has demonstrated uncommon leadership capacity, a deep sense of responsibility to the people, and a clear vision for sustainable development.

“His achievements speak for him. We will move from door to door, units to units, wards to wards, LGAs to LGAs, to ensure that a resounding victory is achieved”, he stated.

Hon. Ndukwe further emphasised that Senator Okowa remains a true son of Anioma, deeply rooted in its values and aspirations.

“This endorsement”, he went on, “is not driven by sentiment but by substance. Senator Okowa understands Anioma, believes in Anioma, and has consistently stood up for the interests of Anioma people. Sending him to the Senate guarantees strong representation and effective advocacy”.
